What personal data we collect and why we collect it

This area sets out information on how the “GRANTED website” handles users’ personal data.

This information is provided pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation) to everybody who interacts with the GRANTED website. The information is provided to protect personal data; these terms do not apply to other websites that may be consulted through links.

We collect personal data such as name, email address, affiliation as well as technical data, such as information about cookies. We collect this data for the purpose of sending out newsletters or to manage conference registrations. We are only collecting this data with your consent.

Sending e-mail at the addresses listed on this site involves the acquisition of the sender’s necessary to respond to requests, and any other data included in the message.

It’s banned the use of personal data for trade, marketing or advertising purposes in the absence of prior consent by the individual. Any violations will be reported to the competent authorities.

WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users.


Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device using the browser. They have many applications, such as: tracking users as they navigate around a website; remembering user preferences; and website security.

We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

Newsletter, Conference registration & emails

If you have subscribed to our newsletter or registered for our conference there is a good chance you will receive emails from us.

We send e-mails  with  information on conferences organised by the GRANteD consortium and the newsletter only with the consent of the recipient or a legal permission. We will only send you emails which you have signed up to receive, or which pertain to the services we provided to you.

To send you emails, we use the name and email address you provide us.

Data that is collected for the purpose of registration for the newsletter: e-mail address.

Data that is collected for the purpose of registration for the conferences: surname, first name, e-mail address, affiliation. 

Our site also logs the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent abuse of the system.

This website can send emails through the MailPoet sending service. This service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters. No identifiable information is otherwise tracked outside this website except for the email address.

In order to be able to send the newsletter, we store and process the above-mentioned data until you unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can unsubscribe by sending an e-mail to datenschutz@lillisballroom.at.


Double opt-in

To register for our newsletter and our conferences we use a so-called double opt-in procedure. After submitting your application you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that nobody can register with a foreign e-mail address.

Registration for the newsletter and conferences will be logged in order to prove the registration process according to the legal requirements. This includes the storage of the logon and the confirmation time, as well as the IP address.


WP Statistics

This website uses the WordPress analysis plugin WP Statistics. Provider of this plugin is wp-statistics.com. Simple statistics are generated from the data in anonymous form. For this purpose, no user profiles are created and no cookies are set. All data collected by WP Statistics are stored completely anonymously on this web server. A personal identification of a visitor is therefore not possible, even retrospectively.


Twitter
